Full Term, Waddling & Waiting...

She's due July 13, but now that I'm moving along to week 38 and considered full term, Leyna can make her grand appearance at any time now!! I thought I'd post all the guesses for her delivery date and stats. (I hope I read everyone's writing correctly). Feel free to email us or post a guess if you haven't yet. We're still on the look out for a great prize to send the winner!

Leyna continues to be super active and growing bigger (me along with her). I must admit, just these last weeks have been quite challenging since I've been hit hard with severe hip pain that make it difficult to do the littlest things...pick up my legs, walk, get in the car, go upstairs, even roll over in bed...it's a reason why delivering her any day now is fine with me! Meanwhile, Dan is doing an excellent job helping me every step of the way (literally). I've certainly mastered the art of waddling like penguin...the last nurse I saw was quite entertained by it, so I'm glad I could give her a laugh!

The goal this week is to get the birthplan finalized, labor bags packed, get the car seat base ready to go, order last minute stuff online (since to no surprise, there's still things difficult to find out here), get all her clothes ready, start working on the baby announcement...and of course enjoy each day of rest and every night of sleep until she arrives! There's really not much to the nursery yet since shipping the crib here can take up to 6 months at the latest...so we're waiting and hoping it comes much sooner! Nesting her room is on standby...

So far we've attended the hospital's Labor & Delivery class and got a tour of the facilities - fortunately we're here after a lot of renovations have taken place. We've been hearing positive feedback about the doctors, birthing experience and receiving other helpful information from people who delivered here recently, so that's always reassuring. We still have a Baby Boot Camp class coming up July 9 that will inform us on parenting basics of what to do after delivery...so we'll see if we make it, before we're at the post delivery stage!

hang in there. We are praying for a safe delivery for both you and baby as we have had a couple of friends who had the same thing with their hips... hope you go sooner then later as well. You definitely need to get lots of rest and glad is there to help you.
